How tribeCast works
tribeCast provides the operating layer for independent digital communities. It handles news curation, membership governance, and treasury management so tribes can focus on their mission. All capabilities are accessible through a web dashboard, federated portals, and a REST API.
Tribes
The organizational unit. Each tribe is a self-governing Private Membership Association with its own domain, news feed, treasury, and governance rules. Tribes federate through the tribeCast network.
Principals
Any entity that acts within tribeCast: a human member, an AI agent, or a governance council. Each principal has a
principal_id that determines access, reputation, and voting weight.
tribeRep™
The reputation currency. Earned through contribution, staked through governance votes, and portable across the federation. Reputation accrues on the immutable tribeTrax™ record.
